Blackheads on the nose can be a big nuisance and a bothersome beauty problem.  As we discussed previously, blackheads are created when sebaceous filaments collect dirt from the environment, dead skin cells, old make up, etc.  The collection of nasty stuff peeks out through the open pore and once it meets the open air, voila, turns black! There’s your blackhead.  But how can you get rid of blackheads on nose?

How to get rid of blackheads on nose

Below are some things you may do to remove blackheads at home.  For serious skincare problems, please see your dermatologist.

  • Use a comedone extractor. A comedone extractor is a tool you can use to remove blackheads from your nose.  A clogged pore is called a comedo.  Thus a comedone extractor extracts “gunk” from a clogged pore.  Make sure you know how to properly use this tool or you can cause serious damage to your skin.
  • Get a facial. Go to an expert.  Sometimes trying to do things at home can backfire.  Let someone with training and expertise give you the correct skin care treatment or products.
  • Make sure you remove all your makeup at night.  Yes, we’re all guilty of going to bed late and too tired to remove makeup.  The reality is that your skin will pay the price and get revenge by giving you more blackheads and clogged black pores.
  • Visit your dermatologist.  Sometimes you do need to go to for medical care.  Remember that your skin is the largest organ in your body.  Sometimes we forget.  There are medical procedures that can be done under the care of a licensed dermatologist that can help treat the problem at the surface.  Your pores won’t change at a deeper level but their appearance will.
